OK, in this part of the video, we're going to do speed, test.
0:16
And a couple things, The first one I'm going to run is my normal wireless network, too, to my desk.
0:26
And then that's the wireless than then I'll do a direct connection with an Ethernet cable to my network, and then we will do the GL Lynette 8300, and then we will do the older model, which is E.
0:44
1500, so, let's start the process, so this is my regular Ohm Wireless Network.
0:56
I go to ... dot com, it's put up by Netflix, it's typically not thrown through a faster network path by my ISP.
1:07
But, you know, so 360 megabits per second, not too bad for a wireless network, let's get my regular network, this speed test is for my regular network wired network, Ethernet connected.
1:31
So, you know, it is significantly more when you are connected. When you're wired into your network than when you're using the wireless.
1:41
The next example that we're going to do is the, is the GOI Net 1800 and we'll see how that compares.
1:53
OK, in this example, we are on the July, 1400, Guilder one that I have. Let's see what it looks like.
2:13
I'm not too bad 120 megabits per second. Not bad at all. And let's try the latest and greatest, which is the Wi-Fi six on the July 1800.
2:31
And as a final test, we're going to run it on the ... 1800, The latest one that I got it.
2:39
Let's see.
2:46
OK, it looks like it's almost twice as fast as the 3400, so that is a great comparison, and it will show you what you might be expecting. Or when you use.
3:01
OK, and here are some speed tests in a real-world environment, that's in my backyard. So, part of my backyard, I have the GOI Net 1300 guilder 1. It's been out there for a little bit just to extend the range of my network and to play with it, to be honest.
3:21
So if I stand right next to My July 1800, and I'm on my home network, I get about 150 megabits.
3:31
which is pretty fast, because it's the, yeah, the five G of my Home network. If I run and connect directly to my 3500 same location, it's about 72.
3:46
It's a little bit slower than I thought it was going to be.
3:48
But, you know, it's also in an enclosure that may not have the greatest distance because it kind of stops the, The waves going through.
4:01
So the next thing that I did was I tried to stand about twice as far from my house to where this device was.
4:12
And if I ran my home network on my phone, I got about 58 megabits.
4:20
If I connected to the July 1500, I got about 50 megabits, which isn't bad at all.
4:27
Then, the interesting thing, though, is when I, when I've gone up to my hidey Hole, and I use this device where the network is, how it's constructed, because I didn't construct it.
4:43
I don't know how they have it set up but when I just tried it, connect directly to the network up there I get about hmm, hmm.
4:55
I'm about 13 megabits per second if I use this same device and connect to their wireless network, I get about 25.
5:07
So, however, the structures are where the network antennas are this helps me get a lot faster connection to the internet.
5:19
Where I kind of go on, some of my, my weekends, So, you know, it really depends on your environment. And if it's going to help But may help, it may not help. It really just depends on what your environment is and you know, how that that structure is. So I just wanted to give you this feedback on this is the real-world, in my backyard.
